Hi Lee, Once again your blog was the first one that I graded, so I am coming back to it for comments and deleted my first post. I have to say that after looking over your classmates resume's yours is better done. You have some great skills and work experience -its now just a matter of highlighting it in a way that will let you shine. My main comment with your resume is that you shouldn't use I statements and also you should use action statements that specifically state what you did at each position.
I wish you the best of luck in all of your future career endeavors.
This is Lisa Graves. You did a very nice job with your resume. I was impressed with all of the volunteer work that you have been involved with and with all of the awards that you have acquired. Since all of your background can be related to your objective, you demonstrate your commitment to that goal. You have included action statements in your descriptions which work well on a resume and I didn’t see any cases of using “I” which can be hard to avoid. Attaching the nomination letters is a nice touch. An interested employer will not have to wait to learn more about you from other since you have attached them. People like access to “instant” information. Good job and keep up the great work!
My name is Leanne. I was born and raised in the Caribbean and moved to Arizona when I was 16. I am now a 22 year old college student, majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Music and Anthropology. I am working towards graduation in December and hoping to continue on with a Master's degree in Social Work. I love working with people, building relationships and I am very invested in gaining the tools and education necessary to affect positive change in other's lives and my surroundings.
